The Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tuebingen is looking for a student research assistant/HiWi (studentische/wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft) who will be able to work up to 10 hours per week/120 hours for three months. We are seeking someone with programming experience, preferably on C/C++. We have a robot table tennis setup and a set of cameras to track the ball position. In this position you will gain experience with Machine Learning models, robotics and computer vision.
What we are looking for
- Applicants must be located in the Tuebingen area and must be matriculated as students at a German university, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to computer science.
- Availability to work up to 10 hours per week
- Very good programming skills
- Good understanding of linear algebra, statistics and math in general
- Very good communication skills in English
- Previous experience on Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Robotics are a plus
